Medically Minded was set up by two doctors who wished there was something similar out there when they were applying for medical school. We are proud of our tutors who are practicing NHS doctors and are young, dynamic and easily approachable. We have gone though the same selection processes for entry into a UK Medical School and have come full circle to sit on the opposite side of the table. We are offering the opportunity for students to benefit and learn from our experiences and hopefully succeed at interview.
Mr Jonathan Ellenbogen BMedSc (Hons), MBChB with Honours, MRCS (Ed)
Graduate of the University of Birmingham, Mr Ellenbogen is currently specialising in Neurosurgery in Liverpool after having worked in Hospitals attached to the University of Birmingham, Guy's, Kings and St Thomas' Medical School and University College London. Mr Ellenbogen has extensive experience teaching medical students having been a tutor at Guy's, Kings and St Thomas' Medical School. He has sat on interview panels for entry into Medical School and therefore has a unique insight in the selection process.
Dr David Woolf BMedSc (Hons), MBChB, MRCP (UK)
Dr Woolf is currently specialising in Clinical Oncology in North London. He graduated from Birmingham University Medical School in 2004 and has worked in various hospitals in the West Midlands and North London. Dr Woolf has been on the other side of the table in the MTAS career progression round of interviews. He also has considerable teaching experience.
